Gurgaon April 20: The 4th National Poets Meet 2013 organized by Xpresspublications, poiesisonline.com and THE POETRY SOCIETY OF INDIA was held here today in which poets from Uzbekistan, New Delhi, Haryana, U.P., Bihar, Odisha, Bengal, Gujarat, MP, Kerala, Tamil Nadu took part. On behalf of all the poets assembled here the anthology of poetry ‘I AM A POET”, having poems from more than 100 poets and 150 poems from India and abroad was dedicated to the poet Madan Gandhi, The Founder President of The Poetry Society of India, who as the Chief Guest inaugurated the POET’S MEET. Poet Gopakumar Radhakrishnan from Kerala welcomed poets at the meet.

Dr. Nandini Sahu, Associate Professor of English at IGNOU, New Delhi presented the topic ‘Indian Women Poets Writing in English’. Poet Gopakumar Radhakrishnan awarded the mementoes and certificates for the winners of 2nd Rabindranath Tagore Award 2013.

On this occasion Mangalprathaban Muralidharan, Managing Partner Fluency Center, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu conducted a workshop on ‘Unmasking Poetry beyond the Limits of Social Constructs : Creating a New Space for Creative Freedom’.

International Anthology Collections ‘I am a Poet’ and ‘With Love’ along with other books entitled ‘THE VOYAGE TO ETERNITY’ by Preeth Nambiar, ‘AN UNTOLD STORY OF A PEBBLE’ by Mamta Agarwal, ‘THE SOUL SENSE’ by Mangalaprathaban, ‘CELEBRATING LIFE’ by Kusum Vig, ‘WITH THOUSAND EYES’ by Shinumol and ‘MY JOURNEY AS A HEALER’ by Cleber Pacheco.

Mr. David J. Delaney from Australia won the 2nd Rabindranath Tagore Award 2013 and he has been felicitated with the citation and 5000 INR. For the best Poetry recitation competition in English was organized by fluencycenter.org and poiesisonline.com. , in which contest Mrs. Payal Pasha was adjudged for first prize, and Mrs. Kusum Vig for second prize and Gopakumar Radhakrishnan for third prize.
